The Aly Raisman family cheered on their famous family member onto a team gold medal for gymnastics at the 2012 London Olympics. Aly Raimanís proud Jewish family consists of parents Rick and Lynn Reisman and her siblings, Brett, Chloe, and Madison. Described as a born leader, Aly Raisman served well as the eldest member and captain of the 2012 Olympic gymnastics team, also known as the Fab Five.

How did the Aly Raisman family members support Aly's Olympic dreams? For starters, her mother, Lynn Raisman, was a gymnast in high school and her grandparents and is able to understand the long hours of practice Aly must undergo to be the best. Grandparents on both sides of the family attend her meets and cheer Aly on with pride, especially since she does a rhythmic dance to a cherished Jewish hymn.
What is new for Aly Raisman : Aly is trading in her balance beam to dance the tonight away on debut as a celebrity dancer on Dancing with the Stars for season 16. Yay for Aly. She is walking in the footsteps of leaders like Shawn Johnson who won the coveted talent show trophy.

Alexanda "Aly" Raisman (b. May 25, 1994 [Needham, Massachusetts])
Parents : [father - Richard Raisman] and [mother - Lynn Raisman]

Born Alexandra Raisman, Aly grew up in a little town called Needham, Massachusetts. Her gymnastic training began in a Mommy and Me class at the age of 18 months old. A few years later, her mother Lynn inspired a young Aly to make gymnastics her lifelong passion when she watched a video previous Olympic team. She is lucky enough to train at the Brestyan's American Gymnastics where she can remain living at home with her family. She attended Needham High School until eleventh grade when she reverted to home schooling due to her aggressive travel schedule. At the 2010 World Championships, Aly stepped into the spotlight as a formidable contender on the floor and beam.

Now at the London 2012 Olympics, Aly is leading her team on their journey to gold medals for the USA and hopefully an individual gold medal in the All Ė Around Gymnastics competition. More importantly, she will bring her Jewish religion to the world stage by performing a floor exercise to a modern version of an old Jewish Wedding song.

Lynn Raisman could not be prouder of her eldest child, Aly. She shares Alyís love for gymnastics as she was a gymnast in high school. Today, she serves as the Vice President of the family business as well as accompanying her daughter to gymnastics meets. Always willing to help, Lynn discovered an upbeat version of a Jewish wedding song that Aly performs for her floor exercise and shares her Judaism pride with the world.

Her father, Rick Raisman, is a self-made businessman. In 2008, Rick and Lynn Raisman both work for the family business, insurance brokerage firm called Bar Insurance that they incorporated in 2008. Clearly, Aly was raised will successful role models. Aly shares a love for cars with her father Rick. Together they shopped for her first car, a Land Rover LR2.
