  The Sarah Palin family from Alaska has taken the country by storm. First, Sarah Palin ran for Vice President in 2008 and now parades around America as a shockable media darling spreading the values of the Repulican party. This weekend, she delivered a speech on CPAC while sucking down a big gulp of soda. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, shocked the world as a teen mom in 2008, but broke out as a star like her mother on Dancing with the Stars and other media engagements.

While writing a Sarah Palin book, the Republican beauty told the story of her family life in Alaska on a hit TLC series. On Tuesday, April 3, Sarah Palin cohosted The Today Show with Matt Laur.
Whether on the campaign trail supporting tea party candidates, writing books or appearing on television, Sarah Palin continues to deliver her political messages. Need not forget she somehow manages to be a mother to her 5 children, Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig.

What is new for the Sarah Palin Family : Her eldest son Track Palin is divorcing his wife of 18 months, Britt. The couple have managed to keep their affairs less dramatic than the breakup between sister, Bristol Palin and her ex-fiance and baby daddy, Levi Johnston in 2009.

The Early Years :
The Sarah Palin biography is a rags to rich media darling story. As a three month old infant, Sarah Palin's parents moved her and her family to Skagway, Alaska in 1964 to work in the local school system. Sarah's mom worked as a school secretary, while her father taught Science and coached track and field. After five years, the family set up residence and employment in Wasilla where the Sarah's parents finished raising her and her three siblings, Chuck, Heather, and Molly.

Continuing her father's love for sports, Sarah often joined her father moose hunting before school as well as competed in various local racing events. In high school, Palin lead the basketball team to a state championship in 1982. Her parents drilled into her and her three sibling a faith in God. This may explain her desire to inject polical forums with her own ethical ideas at the risk of losing her political footing.

Spreading Her Wings :
After earning a second place finish in the Miss Alaska Pageant, Sarah Palin received a college scholarship and the honor of "Miss Congeneality". In 1987, Sarah received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Idaho majoring in Communications-Journalism and minoring in Political Science. Quickly spinning into her role as wife, Sarah Heath eloped with her hubsand and high school sweetheart, Todd Palin. Sarah kept busy as a sports reporter for KTUU-TV stationed in Anchorage, Alaska and assisting with her husband's commercial fishing business.

Sarah Palin's Political Career :
Quickly gravitating to position of leadership, Sarah Palin found herself as the head of the local PTA, then graduated to a seat on city council. After winning the mayoral seat in her hometown of Wassilla in 1996, she took the town by storm. Palin reduced her own salary, lowered taxes, and required the resignation of top town officials she felt were not following her plan for Wassilla.

Due to term limits, Palin moved up the ladder in state government serving on energy and gas conservation committees. In 2006, Palin made history as the being named the first female governor of the state of Alaska. In 2008, Senator McCain rocketed Palin into the national spotlight as his choice for running mate in the 2008 presidential election.

Chuck Heath grew up in Hope, Idaho and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1956. Chuck Heath met his future bride while he was attending Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Wisconsin. The couple eventually settled in Sandlepoint, Idaho where Chuck Heath was a beloved school teacher. Wishing to be one with nature, Chuck moved his family to Alaska where he could actively fish and hunt caribou and moose. The family home is filled with Chuck's collections of pictures, fossils and moose antlers. A Christmas tree made of moose and caribou antlers decorates the front yard of the family home nestled in a cul-de-sac off the Palmer-Wasilla Highway. His stories of life in Alaska inspired many neighbors and student in Idaho to follow him to this amazing nature place.

Sally Heath serves as the practical one in her relationship with her adventure seeking husband. Sally was one of six children, including her brother Patrick Sheeran who passed away in 1992. Sally graduated from Columbia High School in 1958, that was changed to Richland High School in later years.

Todd Palin grew up in Alaska with a family combining native Yup 'ik Eskimo and Swedish heritage. His maternal grandmother, Helena "Lena" Andree is a well respected elder in the Curyung tribe.

After graduating from Wasilla High school in , he tried college, but found a solid career as a oil field supervisor with BP Oil in the North Slope oil fields of Alaska. During the summer months, Todd Palin works as a commercial fisherman for the family fishery business.

In his free time, Todd Palin trains for the Iron Dog race, of which he is a four time defending champion since 2003. The Iron Dog race extends 2000 miles across the Alaskan terrain driving snowmobiles at speeds reaching 100 mph with a partner for a duration of 6 to 7 days. Todd Palin's father is of English descent. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In the 1960s, he moved to Alaska for a career with a Utility company.

Todd Palin's Mother : Blanche (nee Kallstrom) Palin

Todd Palin's mother is a blue-eyed blond with Swedish ancestry on her father's side. Her mother, Helena Andree is 1/2 Yup 'ik Eskimo and a highly esteemed elder the Curyung tribe. Blanche worked as the secretary to Jim Thomas of the Alaskan Federation of Natives, the largest group in Alaska lobbying for issues affecting the lives of Native Alaskans.

Bristol is the eldest daughter of Sarah and Todd Palin. The father of her child and her future husband is Levi Johnson. Bristol is named after Bristol Bay, a beloved fishing spot. While in 2010, Bristol works as a dental assistant, she is making a name for herself with her own whimsical personality as a celebrity dancer on Dancing with the Stars.

Willow Palin is named after the Alaska state bird, the willow ptarmigan.

Piper Indy - Born in 2001

Piper Indy's name is a tribute to the Piper Cub that her father flies and the Polaris Indy that her father drove to win his first of four victories in the Iron Dog Snowmachine race.

Trig Paxson Van Palin - Born on April 18, 2008

Trig Palin is the youngest son and child to Todd and Sarah Palin. Born one month prematurely, he also has Down Syndrome. Trig is named after his great uncle, a Bristol Bay Fisherman.
